About Dr.

Pastor Dr. Getinet Lema serves as the General Secretary of the Ethiopian Council of Gospel Believers’ Churches (ECGBC), a national evangelical umbrella organization representing more than 35 million evangelical believers through its member churches and networks across Ethiopia.

He is a Christian leader, organizational development specialist, and senior executive with extensive experience in leadership, governance, strategic planning, partnership development, institutional strengthening, and capacity building. Throughout his career, he has served in government institutions, churches, non-governmental organizations, and faith-based networks, providing leadership at both national and international levels.

Pastor Dr. Getinet holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in Leadership. His academic training and professional experience have equipped him with expertise in organizational transformation, strategic management, leadership development, and partnership building.

As General Secretary, he provides leadership for ECGBC’s strategic initiatives, institutional development, national and international partnerships, mission engagement, advocacy efforts, and capacity-building programs. He is passionate about advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, strengthening Christian unity, developing future leaders, and fostering collaboration that contributes to the transformation of churches, communities, and society.

Through his servant leadership and commitment to excellence, Pastor Dr. Getinet continues to contribute to the strengthening of the Church, the advancement of the Gospel, and the holistic transformation of communities in Ethiopia and beyond.
